NWS forecasts for New York City on September 18 project a daily high near 81°F under partly sunny skies with northerly winds, positioning the 80–83°F range as the dominant market outcome. This aligns with recent model consensus showing modest warming from seasonal norms (average high 75.6°F) amid stable late-summer patterns and limited moisture. Trader sentiment reflects the tight clustering of official guidance around 80–81°F, with lower probabilities assigned to warmer outliers due to the expected wind shift and clearing conditions. Updated NWS briefings and final observations will determine resolution within the narrow temperature bins.
