National Weather Service forecasts for Dallas on September 19 point to a high near 100°F under sunny skies and light southerly winds, driving the market's strong consensus around 96-99°F. Persistent high pressure, minimal cloud cover, and warm advection from the Gulf have supported rapid daytime heating typical of late-summer conditions in North Texas, where climatological highs average near 88°F. Model runs show little disagreement, with dew points in the mid-60s limiting evaporative cooling and heat indices potentially reaching 103°F. Recent observations, including a 98°F reading the prior day, reinforce expectations of another hot afternoon without significant changes in steering patterns or moisture. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon observations will refine the exact maximum before market resolution.
