With the Billboard Hot 100 #2 spot for the week of August 29 wide open, trader sentiment reflects intense competition between established country hits like Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" and Morgan Wallen's "Been By Now" and fresh pop contenders from Ariana Grande's recent Petal album rollout. Country tracks have dominated recent charts through sustained streaming and airplay momentum, while Grande's singles benefit from strong initial debut velocity and promotional push following the July 31 album release. Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Stella Lefty entries add further volatility through fan-driven streaming spikes. Key catalysts include upcoming Luminate-tracked streaming and sales data plus any late-week radio adds that could shift positions before the chart locks.
