This market will resolve according to the fighter that is ranked first in the UFC Pound-For-Pound rankings on December 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET. If, for any reason, there is no fighter ranked first in the UFC Pound-For-Pound Rankings at this market’s check-time, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes).Islam Makhachev's dominant position stems from his 17-fight win streak—the longest in UFC history—capped by a unanimous decision defense of the welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry at UFC 330 in August 2026. The former lightweight champion's move up in weight and continued success have produced unanimous media and official pound-for-pound rankings, reflecting broad consensus on his skill set, grappling control, and finishing ability across divisions. With only months remaining in 2026, traders view limited opportunities for meaningful shifts absent a late-year title fight. Potential challenges include an unexpected loss to a rising contender or another champion's multi-division run, though Makhachev's recent form makes such outcomes improbable in the short window.
