This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 National League Rookie of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**JJ Wetherholt of the St. Louis Cardinals leads the NL Rookie of the Year market at 59% implied probability due to his elite defensive value at second base and league-leading 4.5 WAR among qualified rookies.** His .350 OBP, 16 home runs, 13 stolen bases, and consistent on-base skills in 118 games have positioned him ahead in most advanced-metric evaluations, with recent analyses highlighting his outs-above-average contributions as a key separator. Sal Stewart of the Cincinnati Reds sits at 31.5% after a strong power surge, including 26-plus home runs and 91-plus RBIs that rank among NL rookie leaders alongside his .809 OPS and All-Star selection. Stewart narrowed the gap with a hot July stretch emphasizing extra-base hits and run production, though his lower WAR (around 1.9–2.3 range) keeps him behind in trader consensus. Carson Benge of the New York Mets holds third at 10.7% on the strength of a .273 average, 14 home runs, 18 stolen bases, and 2.5 WAR in over 110 games, but remains a clear step behind the top two. The rest of the field trails far behind, reflecting limited playing time, lower production thresholds, or earlier injuries such as Konnor Griffin’s IL stint that removed another early contender. Recent developments center on the Stewart-Wetherholt duel, with polls showing near-dead heats or slight Wetherholt edges while betting markets and WAR advocates favor the Cardinals infielder. Stewart’s counting-stat momentum has sustained his price, but Wetherholt’s defensive edge and broader value profile continue to anchor the market lead heading into the final stretch.
