This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 American League Rookie of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Kevin McGonigle of the Detroit Tigers has established himself as the clear AL Rookie of the Year frontrunner through consistent production across 120 games, posting a .281/.386/.418 slash line with 12 home runs, elite plate discipline (more walks than strikeouts), strong on-base skills, and defensive contributions at shortstop that have generated roughly 5.6 WAR. Recent MLB.com expert polls reflect this dominance, with McGonigle receiving the top share of first-place votes and climbing steadily in monthly tallies. Munetaka Murakami of the Chicago White Sox remains the primary challenger despite a right hamstring strain that sidelined him for nearly six weeks; the 26-year-old has still reached 28 home runs and a .911 OPS in limited action while earning All-Star honors. Lower-priced options such as Parker Messick and Kazuma Okamoto trail significantly in both statistical output and market consensus, with no major roster or injury developments shifting their positioning in the final stretch.
