Parliamentary elections are expected to be held in Latvia on October 3, 2026. This market will resolve according to the listed political party or coalition that wins the second-greatest number of seats in the Latvian Parliament (Saeima) in the next Latvian Parliamentary election. The named parties and coalitions will be primarily ranked by the number of seats won in the specified election. If two or more parties or coalitions are tied on seats, ties will be broken by the total number of valid votes received by each party or coalition, with higher vote totals ranking higher. If parties or coalitions remain tied, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the listed party or coalition abbreviations. This market will resolve to the party or coalition that occupies the second finishing position after applying this ranking. This market's resolution will be based solely on the number of seats won by the named party or coalition in the Latvian Parliament. If a named coalition dissolves and does not contest this election, the corresponding market will resolve based on the number of seats won by the constituent party within that coalition that held the largest number of seats before the election. If the results of this election are not known definitively by June 30, 2027 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Latvian government, specifically the Latvian Central Election Commission (https://www.cvk.lv/lv).Recent polls for Latvia's October 3 Saeima election show a fragmented field with Latvia First (LPV) often leading but no dominant contender for second, as Apvienotais saraksts (AS), Sovereign Power (SV), and Progressives (PRO) trade positions in the low-to-mid teens. Multiple surveys from spring through mid-2026 highlight volatility near the 5% threshold and roughly 40% undecided voters, sustaining uncertainty over which opposition or coalition party consolidates support. Trader consensus on second place remains evenly balanced across several options because late shifts in turnout, campaign focus on security and economic issues, or coalition realignments could elevate any of the clustered contenders without a clear frontrunner emerging yet.
