Forecast models and National Weather Service guidance for Austin on September 6 project a daily high in the mid-90s, with most runs clustering between 93°F and 96°F amid partly cloudy skies, light southeast winds, and a 20–40% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms. These conditions introduce modest uncertainty around peak timing and any cooling from cloud cover or brief rain, supporting the close market pricing between the 94–95°F and 96–97°F bins. High humidity is expected to push heat indices above 105°F even if air temperatures stay near the seasonal normal of 93.4°F. Updated model runs and official forecast discussions later today represent the next key data points that could shift probabilities within this narrow range.
