PSV Eindhoven, Ajax, AZ Alkmaar, and Feyenoord sit in a tight cluster for Eredivisie runner-up because each club enters 2026-27 with meaningful squad upgrades after a summer of notable moves. PSV, three-time defending champions, replaced departing talent such as Ismael Saibari while adding experienced depth; Ajax rebuilt aggressively with signings including Marcos Leonardo, Julian Brandt, and Marc-André ter Stegen to close the gap after finishing fifth in 2025-26; AZ has started the campaign strongly atop the early table; and Feyenoord retained core pieces under new management. These developments, combined with the league’s typical parity among the traditional powers and mid-table surprises like Twente, keep second-place probabilities bunched as traders weigh form, European schedules, and fixture difficulty through the winter months.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Eredivisie for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Eredivisie (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Eredivisie; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
