This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the 2. Bundesliga for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of 2. Bundesliga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of 2. Bundesliga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the 2. Bundesliga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Multiple clubs with recent Bundesliga experience, including relegated sides like VfL Wolfsburg, Holstein Kiel, and 1. FC Heidenheim plus ambitious 2. Bundesliga regulars such as 1. FC Nürnberg, Hannover 96, Hertha BSC, and FC St. Pauli, bring comparable squad depth, attacking options, and managerial continuity into the 2026-27 campaign. This parity, combined with summer roster adjustments and an unusually even distribution of resources across the division, keeps implied probabilities for runner-up tightly clustered near 37-38% for over a dozen contenders. Early matchday results have produced no clear separation, reinforcing trader consensus that several teams retain realistic paths to second place amid the league's inherent unpredictability.
