The 2026 ACC passing touchdowns race remains tightly bunched among two dozen quarterbacks because the conference features exceptional depth at the position entering Week 1, with multiple transfers and returning starters backed by potent supporting casts. Darian Mensah at Miami stands out after leading Duke to an ACC title in 2025 and throwing five scores in his Hurricanes debut, yet Kevin Jennings at SMU, Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele at Cal, CJ Bailey at NC State, and Mason Heintschel at Pitt posted comparable production last season and enter with strong offensive schemes. New or unproven starters such as Steve Angeli at Syracuse, Christopher Vizzina at Clemson, Beau Pribula at Virginia, and Mason McKenzie at Boston College add further uncertainty, while schedule strength, red-zone efficiency, and injury resilience will dictate final tallies. Trader consensus reflects this parity, with no single signal-caller holding a decisive edge heading into conference play.
