This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team finishes 2nd (runner-up) in the 2026 Liga MX Apertura competition final phase. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Liga MX as finishing in second place in the Apertura final phase. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2026 Liga MX Apertura competition (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No". If the 2026 Liga MX Apertura is cancelled, postponed after December 27, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from Liga MX. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Toluca leads the early Apertura 2026 table with 16 points from seven matches and a strong +11 goal difference, bolstered by a 5-2 rout of Atlas, while América sits level on points but dropped to second after a 4-3 loss to Cruz Azul. The 2nd-place market remains tightly bunched because the 18-team field features multiple clubs with comparable recent form, depth, and historical pedigree in the regular-season standings race. Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Cruz Azul sit within striking distance with solid records and upcoming fixtures that could shift momentum, while lower-table sides like Atlas and Pachuca still hold realistic paths through schedule adjustments. Trader consensus reflects this parity, with implied probabilities spread across established contenders rather than any single dominant side.
