Multiple major releases from high-profile artists including Ariana Grande, Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Ella Langley have created a tightly contested race for the Billboard Hot 100 #2 position the week of August 29. Trader consensus reflects uncertainty over streaming trajectories, radio airplay gains, and fan-driven sales surges in the final tracking period. Differentiating factors include Grande’s established pop momentum versus Wallen’s country crossover strength, alongside potential late surges from Swift and Rodrigo tracks. Chart updates through mid-August and any surprise promotional pushes remain key swing variables ahead of the lock date.
