Recent August 2026 polls from Forsa, INSA, Infratest dimap, and Civey place the Greens (Grüne) at 16-17% and the SPD at 12-15%, a consistent margin ahead of the September 20 Berlin state election. The SPD, as junior partner in the incumbent CDU-led coalition, has seen support erode amid broader voter shifts toward The Left and AfD, while the Greens have held relatively steady under top candidate Werner Graf. With roughly four weeks remaining and no major late-breaking developments reported that would reverse this gap, trader consensus assigns Grüne an 81% implied probability of securing more votes. Possible three-party coalitions after the vote do not alter the direct head-to-head comparison between these two parties.
