The Beauharnois riding features a competitive multi-candidate contest ahead of the October 5 Quebec provincial election, with incumbent Claude Reid of the Coalition Avenir Québec facing Alexandre Daneau of the Parti Québécois, Charles Royer Tremblay of the Quebec Liberal Party, and Angélika Homère of the Parti Conservateur du Québec. Recent candidate nominations, including Reid’s re-election bid and Daneau’s June 2026 PQ investiture win, have kept probabilities closely matched as provincial polling shows a tightening CAQ-PQ dynamic that could influence local turnout and swing voters. The presence of several additional contenders at lower implied probabilities reflects a fragmented field where no single party holds a dominant local edge. Key factors that could shift odds include riding-specific polls, leader campaign stops, and voter responses to regional economic or sovereignty issues in the final weeks before election day.
