The 2026/27 J1 League season remains in its opening phase after seven matchweeks, with FC Machida Zelvia holding a narrow lead on 17 points from an unbeaten run featuring strong attacking output. Vissel Kobe sits second on 16 points with consistent results, while Kashiwa Reysol, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, and FC Tokyo cluster closely behind on 14-15 points, reflecting balanced early form across the table. Mid-table sides such as Kawasaki Frontale, Kashima Antlers, and Yokohama F. Marinos maintain realistic paths through recent wins and squad depth, and the summer transfer window's late additions—including reinforcements at FC Tokyo and other clubs—have further leveled competition. This even distribution of results and roster stability sustains tight trader consensus on runner-up probabilities across the field.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Japan J. League for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Japan J. League (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".

If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Japan J. League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
