Microsoft shares closed near $500 on August 7, 2026, following a strong fiscal Q4 earnings beat on July 29 that featured $90 billion in revenue (up 18% year-over-year) and adjusted EPS of $4.74. Azure and AI demand drove the outperformance, prompting higher capital-spending guidance and lifting sentiment despite broader 2026 volatility. With the August 10 close just days away and no major catalysts scheduled before the August 20 dividend ex-date, trader focus centers on whether momentum from the post-earnings rally can sustain levels above key round-number thresholds amid typical Monday session flows and any macro data.
