The wide-open MLB runs leader market reflects a tightly bunched group of contenders with no dominant frontrunner after more than 140 games, as top totals sit in the low-to-mid 100s and roughly two dozen players remain within striking distance entering the final stretch. Trader consensus assigns Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani the highest implied probabilities at 3.3% each, driven by their elite on-base skills, power, and lineup spots that maximize scoring opportunities despite Ohtani’s recent missed time and Judge’s limited appearances. Kyle Schwarber and Ben Rice follow closely, benefiting from strong recent form and favorable team offenses, while speedsters like Fernando Tatis Jr. and Corbin Carroll gain edges through extra-base advancement and stolen bases. Key differentiators include health, remaining schedule strength, and consistent top-of-order placement, with late surges or injuries capable of shifting outcomes in the low-scoring environment of September baseball.
