Official National Weather Service forecasts for Dallas point to a Friday night low near 79°F, driven by persistent southerly winds and dew points holding in the upper 60s to low 70s that limit nocturnal radiational cooling. High humidity and a 30-40% chance of evening showers or thunderstorms further suppress temperature drops, keeping the air mass warm. Model consensus shows minimal variability in steering patterns or cold advection ahead of the overnight period, with historical September lows for the date averaging around 72°F but recent conditions running above normal. Traders appear to weigh these stable warm-air factors against slight uncertainties in cloud cover and storm timing that could nudge the minimum a degree or two.
