**Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s record $360 million domestic opening has locked in first place, shifting trader focus to a tight contest for second among 2026 releases.** Toy Story 5’s $160 million debut, The Odyssey’s $124 million start, and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’s $132 million bow currently anchor the middle of the pack, while Avengers: Doomsday’s strong early presales and December timing create momentum for a late-year surge. Dune: Messiah’s simultaneous release adds holiday competition that could fragment audience share, and The Hunger Games prequel’s November slot offers another variable. With several major titles still to open and historical patterns showing holiday legs can shift rankings, market-implied odds reflect closely matched uncertainty around which film ultimately claims the second-highest opening weekend.
