Russia’s Supreme Court ruling on August 10, 2026, removed Yabloko’s federal party list from the September 18–20 State Duma ballot after a lawsuit by the Rodina party, a decision upheld on appeal. This exclusion prevents the liberal, anti-war party from competing in the proportional representation system that requires at least 5 percent of the vote for seats. Yabloko has not cleared that threshold in any national election since 1999 amid documented administrative barriers, candidate disqualifications, and limited media access. Independent polling earlier showed potential support near or above 5 percent in some surveys, but the court action eliminated that path. Remaining single-mandate candidacies and any final constitutional review offer narrow, low-probability avenues for reversal before voting concludes.
