Recent polls from Datafolha and GP1 show Ciro Nogueira (PP), Marcelo Castro (MDB), and Júlio César (PSD) in a technical tie for Piauí’s two Senate seats, with the incumbents seeking re-election alongside the federal deputy amid 20 total candidates. This fragmented field and narrow margins in stimulated voting scenarios sustain trader consensus around a close contest for second place. Late-August surveys indicate Ciro consolidating first while Marcelo and Júlio remain locked in the battle for the remaining spot, with limited movement from smaller contenders. Upcoming campaign events and any further polling releases before the October vote could shift positioning among these frontrunners.
