Rising memory chip costs driven by AI data center demand represent the main catalyst behind trader expectations for an iPhone 18 Pro price increase, with DRAM and NAND prices surging hundreds of percent year-over-year and pushing the bill of materials up roughly 25-38%. Apple CEO Tim Cook has stated that such hikes are unavoidable after similar increases on recent Macs and iPads, while analysts from TrendForce, IDC, and TechInsights project a $150–200 uplift from the iPhone 17 Pro’s $1,099 starting price, potentially landing the new model at $1,249–$1,399. Offsetting factors include Apple’s in-house modem and chip efficiencies, though competitive Android pricing and historical reluctance to raise flagship costs add uncertainty. The September 8–9 launch event will resolve the market by confirming final US pricing.

This market will resolve based on the pre-tax launch price in USD of the standard edition of the iPhone 18 Pro as listed on the official Apple Store website or Apple’s retail pricing in the United States on the first official day of its release.
If the price differs between configurations (e.g., base storage vs. higher storage), this market will resolve according to the lower price of the version that includes the full standard iPhone 18 Pro model with no additional features, accessories, or services (e.g., base storage capacity only).
If the iPhone 18 Pro is not released by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No".
The primary resolution source for this market will be the official Apple Store (online or retail pricing), however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
