Wisconsin's 4th congressional district, encompassing Milwaukee and its inner suburbs, has long favored Democratic candidates due to its urban demographics and consistent voting patterns, with incumbent Gwen Moore securing reelection by wide margins including 74.8% in 2024. Recent primaries on August 11, 2026, saw Moore defeat a Democratic challenger while Republican Tim Rogers advanced, yet the seat's partisan lean and lack of competitive indicators keep Republican prospects minimal. Traders reflect this entrenched advantage in the 98.2% Democratic consensus, consistent with nonpartisan ratings classifying the race as safely Democratic. A late scandal, health issue for the nominee, or unprecedented turnout shift could alter dynamics before November 3, though such developments remain low-probability based on current evidence.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
