Persistent marine layer influence and extensive cloud cover are capping daytime heating in Seattle today, with National Weather Service guidance pointing to a high near 68–70°F under mostly cloudy skies and light northerly winds. These conditions limit solar insolation compared to clearer analogs, keeping surface temperatures below the 72°F September 10 climatological average at Sea-Tac. Model consensus shows minimal afternoon clearing, with only slight drizzle chances that further suppress warming. Trader consensus clustering around 64–69°F reflects expectations that the marine stratus will hold longer than in sunnier historical cases, while the slim odds above 72°F account for any unexpected mixing or delayed cloud erosion before peak heating. Official resolution will hinge on the verified daily maximum at the primary reporting station.
