Recent short-range forecasts from NOAA-aligned models indicate San Francisco highs around 64–68°F for September 1, consistent with typical late-summer marine layer influence that caps temperatures via persistent stratus and onshore flow. This supports elevated market-implied odds near 60–77°F bins while the 78°F+ outcome at 50% reflects residual uncertainty from potential model shifts in the Pacific high or delayed fog clearance. Historical September 1 averages near 70°F provide context, yet current sea-surface temperatures and wind patterns favor moderation; traders appear to weigh the narrow window before resolution against climatological variability in coastal microclimates.
