This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Texas. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Texas, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Recent polls show the Texas Senate contest between Republican Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico locked in a statistical tie among likely voters, with margins under 3 points in surveys from Emerson College and Texas Southern University. This competitiveness sustains uncertainty around total ballots cast on November 3, as both campaigns intensify get-out-the-vote efforts targeting younger voters, independents, and shifting demographics on issues like immigration and the economy. Primary results, including Paxton's Trump-backed win over John Cornyn and Talarico's victory over Jasmine Crockett, set up high-stakes mobilization that could elevate participation above historical midterm levels. Upcoming debates, final ad spending in one of the costliest races, and any late national developments may alter turnout patterns by energizing or depressing specific voting blocs. Trader consensus across the brackets reflects this balance, with separation likely hinging on measurable early voting trends or last-minute shifts in key counties.
