Zach LaVine’s situation remains fluid heading into the 2026-27 season after he exercised his $49 million player option with the Sacramento Kings in late June, keeping him under contract for one more year following an injury-plagued campaign that limited him to 39 games. The Kings, in the early stages of a rebuild after finishing near the bottom of the Western Conference, continue to explore trade options for the 31-year-old scoring guard whose large expiring deal and recent performance have narrowed the market. Multiple suitors including the Jazz, Pacers, Bucks, Timberwolves, and Pelicans sit in a narrow band of implied probabilities, reflecting uncertainty over which teams might have the cap flexibility or roster fit to absorb his salary via trade or future free agency. Recent form, health recovery, and potential buyout scenarios add to the competitive balance, leaving no single destination clearly favored in trader consensus.
