The closely bunched implied probabilities for second place in the 2026 Apertura reflect Liga MX's typical early-season parity, with Guadalajara, Cruz Azul, and Club América leading trader consensus amid strong off-season roster moves and historical contention for top table spots. After the first two matchdays, surprising results from sides like Tijuana, Atlas, and Necaxa have underscored the lack of a dominant favorite, while Pachuca, Toluca, and Monterrey benefit from solid recent form, depth, and favorable schedules. The compressed mid-table group further highlights how injuries, transfer-window reinforcements, and home/away splits could still shift positioning significantly before the regular phase concludes.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Liga MX as finishing in second place in the Apertura final phase. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2026 Liga MX Apertura competition (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2026 Liga MX Apertura is cancelled, postponed after December 27, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official information from Liga MX. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
