Recent polling in Espírito Santo shows Renato Casagrande leading first-round Senate intentions by wide margins, leaving the contest for second place fragmented among a crowded field. Maguinha Malta has drawn early backing from the PL and her father, incumbent Senator Magno Malta, while Evair de Melo, Sergio Meneguelli, Rose de Freitas, and others split support across Republicanos, PSD, MDB, and smaller parties. July surveys placed several of these names within a narrow band behind Casagrande, with high undecided shares keeping second-place probabilities tightly bunched. Trader consensus reflects this lack of separation, as no candidate has consolidated opposition or rural/urban blocs sufficiently to pull ahead. Upcoming party conventions, candidate alliances, and any new statewide surveys before October could widen gaps by clarifying which contenders consolidate the largest remaining vote pools.
