The 2026–27 Danish Superliga season opened in late July with newly promoted Lyngby and AC Horsens replacing Fredericia and Vejle. After six or seven rounds, FC Copenhagen leads the table on 15 points while Sønderjyske sit bottom on one point, AGF (the 2025–26 champions) hold 11th with four points, and OB, Silkeborg, and Lyngby occupy the next positions. The 12-team league splits after 22 matches into a six-team championship round and relegation round, with the bottom two sides from the latter group dropping to the 1st Division. Early results highlight the promoted sides’ adaptation challenges and the rapid slide of last season’s title winners, setting the initial tone for the long relegation fight that concludes in May 2027.
