Alyssa Thomas holds the edge in trader consensus for the WNBA assists per game lead, reflecting her current 8.3 APG pace through 27 games with the Phoenix Mercury, where her high usage in the offense and efficient distribution have produced consistent volume. Caitlin Clark sits close behind at 8.0 APG for the Indiana Fever across fewer contests, supported by her elite playmaking vision and pace but tempered by higher turnover rates and a slightly lighter schedule to date. Jordin Canada, Chelsea Gray, and Jackie Young trail at 7.7, 7.1, and 6.7 APG respectively, with limited realistic paths to close the gap absent major shifts in playing time or team dynamics. Recent form shows Thomas extending her advantage through multiple high-assist outings, while the market pricing captures the wisdom of crowds weighing remaining games and roster stability.
