Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” holds the market edge at 55% implied probability thanks to her record five prior Video of the Year wins and the massive cultural footprint of her “Life of a Showgirl” era single, which topped charts and drew strong critical notice for its literary concept and visual storytelling. Madonna’s ambitious 14-minute “Confessions II – The Film” sits at 24.5% as the other long-form entry, buoyed by her 11 total nominations and upcoming opening performance, yet faces historical precedent favoring shorter, hit-driven videos. Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, and the surprise Gener8ion/Yung Lean “Storm” round out the field at lower odds, each backed by strong chart performance but lacking Swift’s category dominance. With fan voting closing soon and the Sept. 27 ceremony days away, late momentum from reviews or social buzz could still shift the tight middle pack.
