**Three teams have already secured international titles in 2026—Nongshim RedForce (Masters Santiago), Leviatán (Masters London), and 100 Thieves (Esports World Cup)—leaving VALORANT Champions Shanghai (September 24–October 18) as the final major event where additional squads can claim one.** Pacific squads like Paper Rex have shown sustained form across Masters finals appearances and regional Stage 1 success, while Americas depth (NRG, G2 Esports, LOUD) and recent Stage 2 winners (Global Esports, Karmine Corp, TYLOO, 100 Thieves) shape the 16-team field. Regional series win rates and Championship Points have favored Pacific and Americas consistency over EMEA and China volatility. Roster stability, meta adaptation heading into Shanghai groups, and double-elimination bracket positioning will determine which additional teams join the three prior winners before the VCT shifts to an open format in 2027.
