Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Official relegation is defined as a team losing its place in South Africa Premiership for the following season through their final standing in the 2026-27 South Africa Premiership, via relegation playoff defeat, or by any other official league decision recognized by South Africa Premiership. If the 2026-27 South Africa Premiership season is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there are no teams confirmed for relegation within that timeframe, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source will be official announcements from South Africa Premiership. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026–27 Betway Premiership season is in its opening weeks, with two newly promoted sides—Kruger United and Milford FC—joining the 14-team top flight after the 2025–26 campaign saw Orbit College and Magesi drop to the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Early results show Kruger United winless and bottom on one point from five matches, while Marumo Gallants and Siwelele sit on two points each with extended winless runs. Traditional mid-to-lower table sides such as Richards Bay, Chippa United, and TS Galaxy have also started slowly, reflecting typical adaptation struggles for promoted clubs and limited squad depth among smaller PSL outfits. Traders monitor official injury reports, managerial stability, and the demanding early fixture schedule, where home/away form and points from the bottom six often determine playoff and automatic relegation outcomes by May.
