Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea lead the runner-up market in a tightly contested field because each enters 2026-27 with elite squad depth, proven Premier League performers, and strong early-season results that prevent any single side from pulling clear. Arsenal, the defending champions under Mikel Arteta, carry the highest baseline but face workload concerns after a demanding prior campaign and summer fixtures. City, runners-up last season, have adapted quickly to Enzo Maresca’s methods and Erling Haaland’s continued scoring, while Chelsea’s summer reinforcements and attacking output under their new setup keep them within striking distance. Manchester United and Liverpool trail due to greater inconsistency in recent campaigns, leaving the top three’s implied probabilities bunched as traders weigh squad continuity against transitional variables.
