Rare Atom entered this Asia Championships Closed Qualifier BO3 playoffs matchup as the clear favorite, bolstered by a March 8 roster addition of x9 from FengDa Gaming that strengthened their Chinese core of Summer, L1haNg, chengking, 3gl, and Trash. The team showed solid map control on Mirage and Dust2 in the 2-0 win, consistent with their higher HLTV ranking and stronger recent regional form compared to DEPO. The Central Asian side, featuring IGL buster and coach bullet, competed in lower-stakes events but lacked comparable experience or head-to-head edge in high-stakes Asia-Pacific qualifiers. Trader sentiment reflected these gaps in roster depth, recent results, and tournament context rather than any major late changes.
