This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 American League Rookie of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Kevin McGonigle holds an overwhelming edge in the AL Rookie of the Year market due to his consistent everyday production as the Tigers' infielder, leading qualified AL rookies in on-base percentage near .372, hits, and bWAR while posting a .272/.372/.410 slash line with elite plate discipline and low strikeout rates. His breakout from a top prospect who secured a long-term extension early in the season has solidified trader consensus around his positional value and all-around contributions. Parker Messick trails as the primary challenger after a strong campaign as the Guardians' left-hander, with a sub-2.55 ERA, over 160 innings, and All-Star honors reflecting second-half dominance, though his impact remains limited by a pitcher's schedule. No significant late developments have shifted this positioning heading into September.
