Latest GFS-based forecasts and European model consensus indicate Madrid will see clear skies, light easterly to southeasterly winds, and strong daytime heating on September 12, supporting an afternoon high near 31–32 °C. This aligns with the market’s leading probabilities for those exact outcomes, as recent September warmth has kept surface temperatures several degrees above the 27.3 °C climatological average while stable high pressure suppresses cloud cover and precipitation. Model runs show minimal spread in peak values, with only modest uncertainty from boundary-layer mixing or slight wind shifts that could trim or add 1 °C. Official observations from Madrid stations will determine the precise maximum, with final data expected shortly after sunset on the 12th.
