With multiple tracks clustered between 41% and 50% implied probability, the Billboard Hot 100 race for the number-two position in the week of August 22 remains tightly contested among established and emerging artists. Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me” and “Petal” edge slightly ahead in trader consensus, buoyed by anticipated streaming velocity and promotional timing typical of her campaigns. Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drop Dead,” Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You,” and Ella Langley’s country singles add pressure through radio airplay and fan-driven sales, while Morgan Wallen’s “Been By Now” draws on genre momentum. Chart positions can still shift with final streaming updates and any late viral spikes before the tracking week closes.
