Yeong-seok Jeong and Ethan Cook meet on outdoor hard courts at the ITF M25 Taipei 2, where both players have logged recent matches in the region. The 26-year-old South Korean holds a modest ATP ranking near 1746 and posted several qualifying wins plus main-draw appearances across 2026 hard-court ITF events, though he has exited early in most draws. Cook, a 23-year-old Australian, enters with a 6-11 record this season, including first-round defeats in recent M25 and challenger events on the same surface. Neither player has a documented head-to-head, so recent form, physical freshness after travel, and consistency in best-of-three sets on hard will shape outcomes. Schedule congestion and qualifying status for either could also influence energy levels.
