Kamil Majchrzak and Benjamin Bonzi meet in the Winston-Salem Open first round on outdoor hard courts, with the head-to-head tied at 1-1 after Bonzi's straight-sets victory on a similar surface in Marseille in 2022. Majchrzak enters with a stronger 2026 record and higher ranking near the top 70, showing solid recent hard-court results including a win over Tommy Paul earlier in the season. Bonzi, ranked near 100, arrives with momentum from a strong run to the Quebec City Challenger quarterfinals and earlier grass-court progress, though his main-tour win rate this year remains below 50 percent. Both players are 30 years old with comparable experience, and no confirmed injuries or withdrawals affect availability. The evenly matched profiles and surface suitability keep the outcome competitive heading into the pre-US Open event.
