Meta's stock faces pressure following its July 29 Q2 2026 earnings release, which showed revenue of $60.8 billion slightly above expectations but EPS of $6.18 missing consensus by a wide margin, alongside softer-than-anticipated Q3 revenue guidance of $61-64 billion. Traders are weighing heavy ongoing AI infrastructure spending and narrowing free cash flow against Meta's continued user growth across its platforms and advertising strength. Multiple analysts have cut price targets in the wake of the report, contributing to recent volatility around the $550-590 range. With no major catalysts expected before August 3, short-term momentum hinges on broader tech sentiment and any follow-through selling or stabilization after the earnings reaction.
