**Persistent southerly flow and a strong upper-level ridge have maintained above-normal heat across North Texas, with official NWS forecasts for Dallas on September 12 showing a low near 79°F amid highs around 100°F.** This setup favors minimum temperatures in the upper 70s, aligning with the market's near-even split between the 71°F-or-below bucket (49.5%) and 90°F-or-higher (49.0%). Model guidance shows limited disagreement on frontal timing, with any cold front currently stalled well north and not expected to arrive until later in the week. Historical September lows average 71.5°F, but the ongoing heat wave—with recent daily minima in the upper 70s to low 80s—keeps cooler outcomes dependent on an earlier-than-expected surge of drier, northerly air. Traders appear to weigh residual forecast uncertainty against the strong consensus for continued warmth.
