In the 2026 Stanley Cup playoffs, Western Conference first-round series featured strong regular-season performers like the Colorado Avalanche, Vegas Golden Knights, Minnesota Wild, and Anaheim Ducks advancing after prevailing in best-of-seven matchups against the Los Angeles Kings, Utah Mammoth, Dallas Stars, and Edmonton Oilers, respectively. Official injury reports, goaltender performances, and home-ice advantage shaped series outcomes, with Colorado and Vegas demonstrating superior depth and special-teams execution to reach the second round. Trader consensus in related markets reflected these results alongside historical playoff trends favoring higher-seeded clubs with better regular-season records and recent form entering the postseason.
