Mary Stoiana holds the clear edge in this US Open qualifying match on hard courts, driven by her superior WTA ranking near 130 and more consistent recent results compared to Harmony Tan at approximately 208. The 23-year-old American has posted solid qualifying wins this summer, including strong showings at events like Cincinnati, building on her college background and prior US Open qualifying experience. Tan, a 28-year-old French player with Grand Slam main-draw history, has struggled to maintain form and ranking points in 2026. No notable injuries or withdrawals have altered the field, keeping the focus on Stoiana’s edge in current momentum and overall level on the surface. Trader consensus reflects these fundamentals in the implied probabilities for the August 24 encounter.
