Jessica Pegula enters the National Bank Open matchup against Magdalena Frech fresh off a 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 comeback win over the same opponent in the Washington DC Open round of 16 just days earlier, extending her head-to-head lead to four straight victories. The world No. 3 has posted a strong 2026 hard-court record with multiple titles and consistent deep runs, while Frech sits around No. 48 with a 13-18 seasonal mark and limited success against top players. Both compete on outdoor hard courts where Pegula’s experience, serve consistency, and baseline power have typically prevailed; Frech’s path features a first-round qualifier test before any potential meeting. Recent form and ranking gaps shape trader views on the contest.
