Jiyun Oh, the 15-year-old South Korean, enters this W15 Yeongwol hard-court matchup after strong qualifying results, including a 6-2 6-4 victory over Miyu Nakashima. Soo Ha Jang, the 21-year-old with an ITF ranking near 1274, brings greater experience but inconsistent 2026 form marked by several early exits on hard surfaces. Both players compete on their home hard courts in this ITF event, where recent match wins and physical freshness often shape outcomes more than ranking points. Oh’s aggressive baseline play and quick adaptation in prior rounds contrast with Jang’s mixed results against similar competition, creating a closely contested dynamic that hinges on serve consistency and return pressure in best-of-three sets.
