Adam Walton enters this ATP Winston-Salem Open first-round match on outdoor hard courts as a slight favorite over Jesper de Jong, with betting models assigning him roughly 62-63% implied win probability based on current rankings (No. 98 vs. No. 106) and recent form. Walton arrives with back-to-back wins in Cincinnati before a three-set loss there, adding to his 2026 highlights that include a French Open upset over Daniil Medvedev. De Jong, coming off a straight-sets defeat to Alex Michelsen in Cincinnati and limited hard-court main-draw success, has shown flashes such as his French Open fourth-round run but holds a 6-12 record this season. The pair has no prior head-to-head, and both carry sub-.500 hard-court marks in ATP events, leaving the outcome dependent on serve consistency and baseline execution in what shapes up as a competitive early-round contest.
