Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” holds the strongest market-implied odds among the six nominees for VMA Best R&B 2026, reflecting his status as the year’s top male nominee overall and consistent fan support ahead of the September 27 ceremony. The field remains tightly contested, with Mariah the Scientist and Kali Uchis’ “Is It a Crime” and Kehlani’s “Folded” close behind on the strength of critical buzz and streaming traction, while Justin Bieber’s “YUKON,” Dave and Tems’ “Raindance,” and Chris Brown’s “It Depends/Obvious” trail further. Fan voting, which closes September 25, will determine the winner in this genre category that has historically rewarded both established stars and collaborative tracks with broad appeal.
